The Oxford English Dictionary (OED), distributed by the Oxford University Press, is an illustrative (instead of prescriptive) dictionary[1] of the English dialect. And also portraying English use in its numerous varieties all through the world, it follows the recorded advancement of the dialect, giving a thorough asset to researchers and scholarly researchers.[2][3] The second release, distributed in 1989, went to 21,728 pages in 20 volumes.
